The generated projections can be exported to DWB, STP, IGS, STL, DXF or DWG. VariCAD offers users the ability to insert objects from files (DWB, STP), copy, paste or delete the selected components, drag and drop them in the workbench, undo or redo the last action and change the colors of 2D or 3D objects. VariCAD allows editing of DWG files without the need for conversion using the Open Design Alliance DWGDirect libraries.
Furthermore, the 3D visualization can also be exported to a high resolution bitmap file. The VariCAD viewer provides the definitions of 3D viewing methods (such as light sources or perspective). In addition, it offers various calculation modules for, for example, springs, torsion bar and, of course, volume, mass and center of gravity.
The program includes a library of standard parts with screws, nuts, bearings, etc. VariCAD provides support for geometric parameters and constraints, tools for inflexible tanks, pipes, sheet metal, and crash tests, support for assemblies, mechanical parts and symbol libraries, calculations, bills of materials, and much more.
